Anderson County’s recycling vendor recently notified the Solid Waste Department that the company will no longer accept glass bottles and jars for recycling. So, effective Sept. 1, 2019, Anderson County’s convenience centers will no longer accept glass containers.  To learn more, click here.

The Anderson County Solid Waste Department now offers a Textile Recycling Program at all six of the county’s Convenience Centers. The Department is partnering with Tennessee Textiles to provide recycling of old clothing, blankets, linens, towels, and other textile items.
