The Tennessee Division of Solid Waste Management and Anderson County Solid Waste will host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on October 5, 2024, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Oak Ridge Public Works facility located at 100 Woodbury Lane in Oak Ridge. All Anderson County convenience (trash) centers will be closed Monday, September 4, 2023 in observance of Labor Day.

The new Wolf Valley Convenience Center, located at 2520 E. Wolf Valley Road, opened to the public June 1. County officials conducted a ceremonial ribbon-cutting on June 3 at the new site.

Effective Monday, October 5, 2020, the Wolf Valley Convenience Center will return to normal operations and again begin to accept recyclable materials.

By the direction of the Anderson County Board of Commissioners, recyclable material will not be accepted, at least through the middle of September, at the Wolf Valley Convenience Center, located at 1505 Clinton Highway (Highway 25W).
