Reporting Litter
While Anderson County maintains ongoing efforts in litter cleanup the most proven method to stop litter in Tennessee and in Anderson County is to prevent it before it starts. Through this website, we are reaching out to everyone to encourage you to help us stop litter and make it a true litter-free Tennessee. The best way to help us in this effort is to report any littering you may see as well as learn how you can help keep our area clean and litter free.
The State of Tennessee also offers rewards of $50 to $250 to those who report littering that leads to an apprehension. We all know this can help motivate us in litter prevention.
We all have a role to play in the prevention of litter. It takes just one person, one school, one business, one organization to positively impact the behavior of others in their community.
Education
The more you know about littering and its effects and the laws regarding it, the better prepared you can be to prevent it from happening. This site will provide you with ample access to better prepare you to know not only how to prevent littering but also what to do when you see litter in your area.
