Do you like the thought of subjecting your children or family to the toxic chemicals found in many of today’s household cleaning products?
If your answer is “No!” consider some “green” cleaning options for a safer – and healthier – home; some options might include using baking soda and/or vinegar.
And, if you want to get rid of household cleaners like liquid drain openers, furniture polish or disinfectants, don’t just throw them in the trash … remember, they are toxic!
Consider taking such items to the Household Hazardous Waste Collection event on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Oak Ridge Public Works Building, 100 Woodbury Lane (behind the Hobby Lobby shopping center). To learn more, call the Anderson County Solid Waste Department at (865) 463-6845.
