Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation has notified Anderson County that all Fall Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events across the State will be cancelled. As of now, TDEC plans to re-assess the situation in Spring 2021 and determine if HHWC events safely can be held at that time.

Volunteers are needed for the next Norris Lake Cleanup in Anderson, Campbell and Union Counties. Due to COVID-19, Anderson County’s annual Household Hazardous Waste collection event, originally scheduled for September 12, 2020, has been postponed at least until October. Other HHW events across Tennessee have also been postponed. We’ll update once we receive the rescheduled date from the State’s Department of Environment & Conservation.

The next Norris Lake Cleanup will be on March 14, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Sequoyah Marina.
